The Praise We Owe

(Wednesday, 11th March 2026)

[Verse 1]
Blessed is the man who knows
And fears his Maker's holy name,
Who sees the Father as the Source
From whom his life and blessings came.
For without Him we are but dust,
And none can stand apart from grace;
If He should turn His hand away,
We vanish from our earthly place.

[Chorus]
Then let us praise the Lord of all,
The Giver of our life and breath;
With grateful hearts before His throne,
We bless His name in life and death.
Since we have nothing of our own
That we can render unto Thee,
Accept our songs, accept our praise,
Our loving gift eternally.

[Verse 2]
Since we have nothing we can give
To match the mercies He has shown,
The sacrifice He asks from us
Is praise that rises to His throne.
Our thankful hearts declare abroad
The goodness of His mighty hand;
For every mercy, great or small,
His faithfulness shall ever stand.

[Chorus]
Then let us praise the Lord of all,
The Giver of our life and breath;
With grateful hearts before His throne,
We bless His name in life and death.
Since we have nothing of our own
That we can render unto Thee,
Accept our songs, accept our praise,
Our loving gift eternally.

[Verse 3]
The more we praise His holy name,
The more His blessings overflow;
His rich abundance fills our cup,
And makes His children's graces grow.
If praise abides within our hearts
Through every trial, pain, and loss,
We shall prevail through all the storms,
Upheld beneath our Saviour's cross.

[Chorus]
Then let us praise the Lord of all,
The Giver of our life and breath;
With grateful hearts before His throne,
We bless His name in life and death.
Since we have nothing of our own
That we can render unto Thee,
Accept our songs, accept our praise,
Our loving gift eternally.

[Verse 4]
Whatever burden each day brings,
Whatever path our feet may trace,
We have His promise ever sure:
He will not leave His chosen race.
He will not fail, He will not turn,
Nor shall His tender mercy cease;
The soul that leans on Him in praise
Shall dwell in confidence and peace.

[Chorus]
Then let us praise the Lord of all,
The Giver of our life and breath;
With grateful hearts before His throne,
We bless His name in life and death.
Since we have nothing of our own
That we can render unto Thee,
Accept our songs, accept our praise,
Our loving gift eternally.

[Verse 5]
Praise is a blessing from above,
It heals the wounds within the soul;
And when the foe beholds a heart
Made wholly subject to God's rule,
He flees away in great defeat,
For he can find no entrance there;
The heart that yields all praise to God
It is kept beneath the Father's care.

[Chorus]
Then let us praise the Lord of all,
The Giver of our life and breath;
With grateful hearts before His throne,
We bless His name in life and death.
Since we have nothing of our own
That we can render unto Thee,
Accept our songs, accept our praise,
Our loving gift eternally.

[Verse 6]
O if our prayers were turned to praise,
And all our pleas to trustful song,
Then none could move our steadfast souls,
Nor could the powers of hell do wrong.
Untouchable by fear or dread,
Victorious still through joy and pain,
We'd walk as conquerors in Christ,
And endless triumph shall remain.

[Chorus]
Then let us praise the Lord of all,
The Giver of our life and breath;
With grateful hearts before His throne,
We bless His name in life and death.
Since we have nothing of our own
That we can render unto Thee,
Accept our songs, accept our praise,
Our loving gift eternally.
