[Chorus]
The idols have lost all their power,
The idols have lost all their power;
Jesus Christ alone has won the glory,
Through the precious blood He poured for me.
O my people, rise, rejoice and sing!
Dance for joy before the King of kings!
[Verse 1]
All power in Heaven and Earth is His,
Jesus Christ, who died to set us free;
No power of darkness can defeat Him,
No earthly throne can claim His victory.
Let every tongue proclaim His holy Name,
For Christ the Lord shall ever reign!
[Chorus]
The idols have lost all their power,
The idols have lost all their power;
Jesus Christ alone has won the glory,
Through the precious blood He poured for me.
O my people, rise, rejoice and sing!
Dance for joy before the King of kings!
[Verse 2]
Though trials rise and tribulations come,
I will never turn away from You;
O Lord, the price You paid for all my sins
Is greater than this world could ever do.
No earthly treasure can compare
With Calvary's love beyond all measure.
[Chorus]
The idols have lost all their power,
The idols have lost all their power;
Jesus Christ alone has won the glory,
Through the precious blood He poured for me.
O my people, rise, rejoice and sing!
Dance for joy before the King of kings!
[Verse 3]
Whether all the world believes or not,
Jesus Christ shall reign eternally;
Over every spirit, heart and soul,
His everlasting throne shall ever be.
Come near to Him while life remains,
And gladly yield to Christ who reigns.
[Chorus]
The idols have lost all their power,
The idols have lost all their power;
Jesus Christ alone has won the glory,
Through the precious blood He poured for me.
O my people, rise, rejoice and sing!
Dance for joy before the King of kings!
[Verse 4]
I will never leave the Christ who died,
Who bore the heavy burden of my sin;
Upon the Cross He paid my debt completely,
And by His blood He made me clean within.
I'll hold to Jesus all my days,
Till journey's end, His Name I'll praise.
[Final Chorus]
The idols have lost all their power,
The idols have lost all their power;
Jesus Christ alone has won the glory,
Through the precious blood He poured for me.
O my people, rise, rejoice and sing!
Dance for joy before the King of kings!
The idols have lost all their power,
Jesus Christ forever is the King!
Hallelujah! Glory to the Saviour!
Let all Heaven and Earth His praises sing!
