But he whose way the Lord hath shown

For wisdom strengthens every bone,
And feeds the soul with heavenly bread;
But plans that leave the Father's throne
May fall in ruin, fear, and dread.

The blessing of the Lord is pure,
Not measured by the things we see;
For what is unseen shall endure,
And holds the greater mystery.
The visible may charm the eye,
And draw the careless soul away;
But faith beholds the throne on high,
And walks with God from day to day.

The Father is a Spirit true,
